What is Nanocellulose?

Nanocellulose is a material formed from one of the most abundant resources on the planet, cellulose. Cellulose is found in all plant materials and can be harvested from almost any of them and the processed down to its smallest form, nanocellulose.

The Wonder Material

Renewable | Strong | Transparent | Hydrating | Healing | Modifiable

Nanocellulose is finely ground pulp directly derived from paper pulp and then processed through an extensive homogenization process to create nano sized fibers. These fibers can be extremely low cost and have applications in most of today’s industries.

One Nanometer is one BILLIONTH of a meter

Cellulose nanofibers are 1000 times smaller than the width of a human hair. This means an insane amount of surface area is available for use and modification.

How it’s Made

From trees to nanocellulose, its a fairly simple process, but requires specific steps.
